THE FOLLOWING SCHOLARSHIPS HAVE ARRIVED IN THE COUNSELING CENTER:

· SC/Dunbar Rotary Scholarship: Open to all SCHS seniors. Application is available in the Counseling Center. The Rotary Club will select applicants for interview. Deadline is April 15.

· Reminder: WV State University offers the $1000 per year Opportunity Scholarship to students who are not Promise-eligible and have a 2.9 or above GPA. The required ACT score for this scholarship is 20 (910 SAT). Applications are available in the Counseling Center.

· Seniors who are considering attending West Virginia Junior College in Charleston may be eligible for one of several $1250 scholarships offered. Scholarship applications are available in the Counseling Center.

· There are 2 scholarships available for Education Majors: Delta Kappa Gamma ($200) and Alpha Delta Kappa, Eta Chapter ($500). Applications and information are in the Counseling Center. The DKG is due March 1 and the Eta ADK is due March 23. See your counselor.

· If you are planning to attend a post secondary vocational/technical program there is a $600 Jim Bailey Memorial scholarship available for qualified students. Applications are in the Counseling Center. Deadline: April 15.

· The $1000 2012 Little General, Inc. Scholarship is now available. Deadline is March 9. Any senior may apply.

· The West Virginia Federal Credit Union offers $4000 Dollars For Scholars college scholarships to members who have a 3.0 GPA, 21 ACT score, and an account in their own name at WVFCU. Applications are in the Counseling Center.

· Seniors whose parents are coaches, band directors, athletic directors or administrators may apply for the WVSSAC-BB&T Scholarship. Deadline is March 14. Applications are in the Counseling Center.

FAFSA Deadline for scholarships and WV financial aid: MARCH 1.

Deadline to apply for the PROMISE scholarship: March 1.
